JITO Game Night is the app JITO uses to run its members' sports sessions: booking, teams, WhatsApp reminders, check-in, scores and leaderboards. It is run by the JITO sports organisers. This page explains what we keep about you, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.
What we keep
- Your details: name, WhatsApp number, wing and membership number.
- Your account: your password, stored only in a scrambled form that nobody can read back.
- Your profile, if you fill it in: photo, a few words about you, playing hand and cricket role.
- Your answers when you sign up: gender, age group, membership category, how you rate your racket-sport experience, how often you play each sport, and any questions the organisers ask then.
- Bookings: the sports and times you choose, how often you play or your level, your preferred time, answers to any extra questions on the form, and friends you ask to play with (their name and WhatsApp number).
- On the day: whether you checked in, and sessions you missed.
- Scores: match results and scorecards, and the ratings and stats worked out from them.
- WhatsApp: the messages we send you and your replies, with their delivery status.
- A sign-in cookie that keeps you signed in for 30 days. There are no advertising or tracking cookies, and no analytics.
Why
- To book your places, make fair teams, and send your slot, team and reminders on WhatsApp.
- To check you in and keep things fair: members who often miss sessions are placed after others.
- To record scores and show stats and leaderboards.
We don't sell your information or use it for advertising.
Who can see it
- The organisers see everything above, to run the sessions.
- Other signed-in members see your name, photo, wing, profile and stats. Never your number.
- Anyone with a session's lineup link sees players' first names and last initials. Full names are in the page so people can search for their own.
- WhatsApp (Meta) carries our messages. When the app sends them automatically, Meta's WhatsApp Business service delivers them; otherwise an organiser sends them from their own WhatsApp. WhatsApp's own privacy policy applies to those messages.
- Hosting: the app and its database run on a server the organisers rent. The text fonts load from Google Fonts, which sees your device's internet address.
How long we keep it
For as long as you're a member. You can ask for your account to be deleted at any time. Backup copies the organisers keep may still hold your details until they are replaced.
Deleting your account
Ask the JITO sports organisers or any organiser, and they will delete your account. This deletes your name, number, photo, profile, password, bookings for sessions still to come and your WhatsApp messages with us. Your past scores and attendance stay as "Former member", so other players' results don't change, and nothing in them can be linked back to you.
WhatsApp messages
Reply STOP to our WhatsApp number to stop messages, and START to get them again.
